I believe the old Tram works on Albert Road was sold by the Council. Developers completely disregarded its listed status. After a lot of fuss they put the gateway back up.
The Anglican Chapel in the General Cemetery was council but is under private hands and has been the source of great deal of litigation because the owner thought he would get more land around the chapel. It is finally after several threats of prosecution re neglect of a listed building being renovated.
