Hi,

first thank you for this really great program (I spent two days to
search the best: you won :-).

As Michal commented it at
https://www.email-lists.org/pipermail/bins/2006-March/000325.html it
seems that there is a memory leak somewhere.

I tried to make a gallery with my 15Go of photo but the process is
killed by the system after the virtual memory is about 1,7Go (I have
1GO of RAM). Here is sommes figures:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
28903 www-data 25 0 1203m 633m 28m R 98.6 67.6 58:18.81 bins

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
28903 www-data 25 0 1255m 684m 28m R 98.9 73.1 65:12.84 bins

another run:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
8670 www-data 18 0 1520m 858m 3436 D 7.7 91.7 46:38.17 bins

So I was unable to generate my album :-(. I tried to split my 15Go of
photos in several part (5Go * 3) but it semms that I cannot exceed
4Go...

I had a previous bug about the LinkInsteadOfCopy feature, but maybe it
was not a real bug and the problem was already the memory.

I wanted to test the 1.1.27 but I use Debian testing on AMD64 and I
cannot install 1.1.27 because of some dependencies...

I hope someone could find why bins is consuming this memory...

If you need some more tests, do not hesitate to ask me,
Regards,

Jean-Francois Lalande.
