Hi,
I've had a Gentoo box running under my stairs now for a while, doing
various little experimental things. I'd like to get it up and running
properly and the first thing I'm trying to do is to make it startup
without me having to type much in to begin with.
At the moment this happens:
login as user
su
then I have to type
modprobe sis900
ifconfig eth0 192.168.8.4 up
route add default gw 192.168.8.1
then it pretty much works. My question is, how do I make it do all this
on startup? I've tried editing /etc/conf.d/net and /etc/modules.conf
without much success. Googling gives confusing results so I thought I'd
ask you guys.
Cheers,
Mike Dewar
