/usr/share/java is a directory, and not an executable. On my system, I
get :

[maulkin at vivacia:/usr/share/java] $ whereis java
java: /usr/bin/java /usr/share/java /usr/share/man/man1/java.1.gz

So, it looks like you need to install java :)
