[SlugBug] find

Hi,

Um, a couple of days ago something weird seems to have happened with
find.
It is worth noting i have not touched /any/ configuration files
regarding anything to do with this. Infact i don't even remember
changing anything on this box at all inbetween the time when it worked
and when it stopped working properly.

Basically, i do the usual 'find / -exec grep -sH "some string" {} \;',
to search the entire filesystem... usually this would work fine. Lately,
it hangs and in the process list, it seems to be hung on 'grep -sH some
string /dev/<device>', the device being one of those that if you were to
cat <device> it would either run forever or just take a long, long time.
It never used to do this, so i am assuming find was just skipping over
/dev. I mean, i never got any permission denied messages regarding
things in dev, and plenty of nodes in there are mode 600, so it must
have been...
But now it isn't.

So, how to i get it to skip over /dev by default, and why the heck do
you think it has changed?

Thanks for any ideas...
 - Daniel
