It's not extremely easy, in any way, shape or form. What the OP asked for
was something that would test possible links given a list of files in a 
filesystem. Unless you are able to parse and comprehend .htaccess 
overrides, httpd.conf rewrite rules and tonnes of other stuff, you
can't actually do it. Esp. where mod_perl (etc.) handlers are involved.

It is possible to check the links of a particular website; but that's 
a different kettle of fish.
