sorry, I though cpan was installed with perl.

You can run it using


/usr/bin/perl -MCPAN -e shell


I've just downloaded syndicator and run the above command, plus

install XML::RSS

it then tells you XML::RSS depends on Test::Manifest and ask if you want to 
install this, say yes.

then type

install Text::Iconv

then type

install XML::Simple


Doing the above got me "syndicator" running.

It looks ok.
