Summary: libvigra incompatible 'non-free' license

Initial Comment:
Hi,

First, some context. I packaged hugin for Ubuntu. But
the package is not on the distribution due to licensing
issues.

Hugin source includes libvigra 1.2. The vigra license
is absolutely non-free and therefore non compatible
with GPL that hugin is released under. That is the
reason why hugin has been rejected from Ubuntu. Note
that Enblend suffer from the same issue.

Libvigra 1.4 is released under a MIT-style license.
This licensing is compatible with GPL and is considered
Free.

What IMHO should be done:

-make hugin build with the system installed vigra 1.4
OR
-upgrade the vigra code in the source to version 1.4

Both are excetable solutions and would be really
helpful in order to get hugin into the distribution.

Thanks a lot
