[ptx] Compiling Mono / gtk-sharp for autopano-sift etc by hand (AMD64)

Still no joy.

I have compiled and installed libgdiplus, mono and gtk-sharp in the 
order libgdiplus, then mono, then gtk-sharp:

On trying to run autopanog.exe:
brian at Escher:/usr/local/bin$ mono ./autopanog.exe

** (./autopanog.exe:1967): WARNING **: Could not find assembly 
gtk-sharp, references from /usr/local/bin/autopanog.exe

System error: No such file or directory

So I am still no further forward. Although mono etc are installed, they 
don't seem to be working.

I really am at a loss of what to do!
