[ptx] nona cannot render a single (or multiple) image

Sorry, but I don't know either.  A few months ago, I went looking for 
some d/e bug based on stories, but my testing failed to show any 
problems and I couldn't see anything wrong with the code.

If somebody does find a problem with the current library, just tell me 
how to reproduce it and I'll be happy to take a look.
