PT colour correction (k)

Hi,
 may someone send some examples(no correction and with correction) to me? I have not used this function so far.
 I know lab is a special colour space which is useful for colour and brightness correction, because l axis represents brightness channel, a axis represents chromatic yellow-blue channel and b axis represents chromatic red-green channel, so colour and brightness correction can be done seperately. But it seems that in order to display an image in lab space, the image should be converted to rgb space first.
