Minutes from the GA on the 21st May

Information and Announcements: 

Thursday 24th May:  A Junk fashion workshop for Pride and Peace in the Park will be taking place at St Barts Church near the Ponderosa. Starting at 6pm.

Monday 18th June: Positive money Event;  A screening of 97% Owned will be shown at the Showroom Cinema at 10:30am

Wednesday 23rd June: A lecture by Ian Rotherham called People, Nature, History:The consequences of an intimate relationship will take place at the Penine Theatre, Sheffield Hallam Campus. 6 for 6.:30 start.

Wednesday 6th June: Sheffield Equality group meeting at the Quaker meeting house at 7pm, There will be an informal talk about the system in Sweden and Finland.

Saturday 9th June: Peace in the Park; Occupy Sheffield will be entertaining in the Community tent from 3 till 4pm, followed by a GA at the park at 5pm. The main subject for the GA will be Occupy Earth.


Thursday 28th June: Public meeting followingWDM (World development movement) Sheff AGM. Food Sovereignty, Just Food at the SURC at 7:45pm 

 
Agenda Items: 

Proposal: To have a presence in in the centre of Sheffield every Saturday in August.

 Idea's so far:  To give out Positive News newspaper
                                    To have a: Speakers Corner
                                                       Cake and Kindness
                                                        Idea's board
                                                       Suggestion box

A working group has been created to share ideas and organize this series of events: 
Names so far... Susan, Robert, Michael, Belle...



Proposal: Creating a follow up event (in a broad sense) to An Economy for the 99% Sharing ideas and tools to make it happen.

Michael will be making a Podcast of An Economy for the 99% Sharing ideas and tools to make it happen.


The next Occupy GA will be on Monday 28th at the SURC. There will be a Positive Money meeting afterwards at 7.45pm
