Hello all,

Sorry I've not been in contact for a while and have not managed to make
it to any of the national meet ups yet. Hopefully the next one.

Quick update from Brighton, Since loosing the camp not much has
happened, but a small core of us are planning to set up some monthly
public meeting for discussion, debate and talks about occupy.

We have secured a meeting place on the 17th Feb as the local Academy of
Creative Training has kindly said we can use their hall during half term.

One of the ideas we've had is to have a panel of occupiers, probably 4
would do, from around the country to talk about their experience, what
occupy means to them and answer questions fro the public.

So was wondering if there were any people out there interested in coming
down? As we have no camp at the moment we can't offer to put anyone up,
but we may be able to arrange somewhere for you to crash overnight,
failing that we would be finished in time to get a train back to London
or local south east areas. We have no funds to aid with travel from this
end at the moment.

Another item is guest speakers. We want to get in some people to talk
about occupy related subjects on a monthly basis and would love to hear
any recommendations anyone has.

I saw this recently and found it very insightful so I though I would
share it with you people too. It's Paddy Ashdown talking about how the
global power is shifting.

On a final note, I hear rumors of an occupy UK website in development.
Is this true? I have some good web skills and ideas if help is needed.

Hope you are all well

Jon from Brighton
