Hello all:

It is a privilege to be on this mailing list and read the great ideas and  
creativity that will sustain Occupy.

I have attached to this e-mail a proposal along these lines.  I sent the  
original proposal for Winter Carnival, here is the revised one.  This is  
basically a project looking for commonality of values or civic virtues  
between people of faith and occupy.

We have set aside ten weekends between January and March and ten great  
ideas and have an idea that people meet - inside - and discuss what these  
values mean.  Nothing is final and everything is meant to be led by local  
people, but the idea and format are easy to replicate, and could be useful.

Here are the ten weekends and topics so far:

January 21-22 Tolerance [diversity?  respect? love.  I think this one  
should be called love?],
January 28-29 Generosity [could rename charity?],
February 4-5 Temperance [prudence?],
February 11-12 Accountability,
February 18-19 Courage, [Fortitude]
February 25-26 Equality,
March 3-4 Liberation [could rename freedom? or Liberty? ; )]
March 10-11 The environment/Stewardship/Green/Environmental
March 17-18 Democracy
March 24-25 Justice

If you are interested, please let me know.  If you know someone who might  
be, please feel free to forward this on.   We have a conference call once a  
week to put this together, and have some people from C of E listening.   
While it was originally an all-Cathedral proposition, it has really  
broadened out to something that could be manageable and fruitful within  
small spaces and any faith community.  They need only be willing to listen  
to others and to Occupy.
