Hi Laura/David and all

We had such different recollections of what was said at that first meeting
Laura that I decided to get it from the horse's mouth:

Dear Nick

As far as I am aware, there are no specific plans to move staff out of MH.
I will check with officers and get back to you asap.

Also, following the last meeting, I asked officers to identify a contact
point for the group. I will chase this up also.

Thank you for keeping me in the loop.

Regards

Cate

 And then....

I have checked with officers and nothing has changed since the last
meeting: there are no specific plans for Parks and Countryside staff to
move out of Meersbrook Hall. Consequently, there are no plans for the
building to be vacated in the near future.

Sorry, I cannot be more helpful.

Best wishes

Cate

Whatever the agenda may be, if they won't say they are definitely moving
out I don't think we should get into the habit of saying they are. Of
course there is a vague indication that they MAY move out in the not so
near future, but that is what is up for negotiation. Hopes and
expectations high etc. Instead of the first two bullet points on the
leaflet can we have something like: 'Sheffield Council are moving offices
to Moorfoot and there are concerns that Meersbrook Hall may be vacated and
sold"
