Those in or around Bristol might be interested in the following
promotional message now circulating locally:-
 
"The Community Information Systems Centre at the University of the West
of England, Bristol, is inviting expressions of interest in this year's
student 'information systems' consulancy projects. Now in its 21st year,
this scheme offers free consultancy to local organisations in exchange
for hosting a small team of undergraduates. Projects typically feature
software development or ICT feasibility studies, Internet strategy, Web
work of various kinds, training or broader studies of ICT strategy and
manual systems. Full details including an online appliication form are
now available at http://cisc.uwe.ac.uk/stucons, or you can phone Kate on
(0117) 32 83039 for a paper copy. If you're already on the mailing list
you should already have a snail-mail copy. Closing date: 22 September
(to be confirmed)."
 
NB: travel distance is limited so this really only suits volorgs in the
