[esocialaction] open movie project

I think we are probably a bit late to attempt a bid to IST call 5. I have done European bids before, but I prefer to have 6 months
to a year available for preparation. Even then, it tends to lead to whole weeks without sleep etc. as the final bid is brought
together.

Two possible European avenues we could consider are;
http://fp6.cordis.lu/fp6/areas.cfm?CALL_ID=55#164 - the FET open call - though I think they are expecting very blue sky research
proposals there. However, they only want a 5 page outline for 21st September, so that is definitely possible.

An alternative, that might fit nicely with our situation is via a Research Training Network.
http://fp6.cordis.lu/fp6/call_details.cfm?CALL_ID=210

That way we can start to exchange experience across the disciplines and across the community. There is a deadline of 28th
September for an outline (10 pages). I'm sure we could pull that together.

(FAQs on general questions for IST proposal submission)

It might be a bit tight now, but I believe that we could still make it
if we like. It would also make things easier if anyone on the list is
experienced with this type of bid and would like to lead the proposal
(i.e. be the coordinator).

If we can't make this call, would the T&SA programme support this project?

Best wishes,
yuwei
