i would appreciate help in installing a kernal patch for suse 8.1 (i
assume kernal 2.4.x)
ideally in the form of a list of unix commands for the patch at
http://www.ugcs.caltech.edu/~john/computer/hk/    and
http://www.eklhad.net/linux/app/hq_space.c

These both modify the keyboard for one handed touch typing allowing 
RSI sufferers chance to rest an injured hand
Damaging the remaining hand is a trap some fall into ; but with sense

hardware solutions ie half a keyboard  literally can leave room for a
graphics tablet or
help more portable computers stay compact
