I do like SLUGBUG (short, snappy etc) but I thought the group was originally to be called "Sheffield Linux Users Group & BSD Users Group".  Perhaps 'Sheffield' might be a little too parochial but it does reflect the geographical seat of the group, and 'South Yorkshire' is a) a little awkward and b) equally as parochial to overseas subscribers (hi to Philippe in Montreal).

I also liked the Free Software Users Group permutations such as SHEFFSUG.

The GNU/Linux suggestion was interesting which then got me thinking:  SINS Is Not Sheflug

But I'll be happy with any collective decision taken.
