[SlugBug] courier-imap frustration (aka wow, a real technical type post!)

Hi all,

Ta da, a proper question!

I'm running courier-imap on top of a nicely customised qmail setup.

Since adding a second IMAP account to Mozilla, I've started having
problems with failed logins.

Typically, I might start up Moz, click "Get Msgs" and it will fail five
or six times and then give up the ghost. However, I then click again and
it works first time.

When sending messages, more often than not, I get a failed login when a
copy of the message is put into the Sent folder. I sometimes have to
save as a draft (which works first time) and then drag the email into
the Sent folder (which also works first time).

I'm running courier-imap 1.5.0 on FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE. I don't think
qmail is relevant, it's retrieving email from a Maildir, so the MTA
shouldn't make a difference.

I've bumped up the number of connections per IP in the config file with
no effect.

I'm close to upgrading to version 2, but for reasons I won't bore you
with, I can't do that just now.

Any suggestions in the meantime much appreciated.

- J

P.S. The English part of my brain isn't working very well at the moment,
so I hope this makes sense.
