I don't think it is worth continuing development of clens then. I just
thought it was an easy way to test the new routine. 

BTW, I just finished 16 bit support in panotools. I'll upload it in
few minutes. The code needs to be cleaned up (Max did a great job in
some functions --I was reading his comments and comparing the old and
the new one versions) but still more is needed. And somehow I don't
think they have been tested enough.

This is a great idea, although you have to remember tht vignetting is
dependennt on the thickness of the filter too.
