[ptx] problem setting up autopano-sift

That doesn't sound familiar.

I couldn't get autopano-sift to run from within hugin on a Windows
machine, it crashed whenever I ran it.  A workaround is to use it as
a standalone application to generate the hugin project file.  Just
double-click autopano-win32.exe.
