Summary: 16bit image support

Initial Comment:
Please support 16bit TIF (or even RAW) images as input and output. 
More and more cameras have this capability. The image quality gets 
significantly better if you can adjust the stitched 16bit image rather 
than messing around in the input images.

It already does.  I use 16 bit TIIFs with Hugin all the
time.  Works like a charm.
