[ptx] hugin very slow.

I have done a checkout of hugin from CVS, and I am finding that it is 
running very very sluggishly.

For example I load an pto file from autopano-sift, the images load into 
hugin, and then hugin sits and "hangs" for what seems like 10 minutes.

I'm sure older builds of hugin weren't as slow as this!

I'm running on an AMD64 3000+, Ubuntu Hoary AMD64, and 1gb ram, so hugin 
shouldn't be running as slow as this!

Anyone else experiencing this?
