OK, I could have realized earlier: ACDSee omitted the alpha channel.
enblend with LZW:        2,3MB,
uncompressed             3,7MB,
LZW compressed with ACDSee:     2,1MB (no alpha channel),
LZW compressed with Photoshop:    1,4MB (after deleting the alpha channel)
