I'think, there are one malformation in this calculating. 

The 35mm film is 24 x 36 mm -> 24/36 = 0,6°
this sensor ratio is 5.32/7.18 = 0,740947075

to that is to say, the portrait/landscape crop factor is't equal...

My idea is, one drop-down list whith sensor typs ( H x V's &
custom), hugin can calculate the Hfov in this and the exif focal length.
