I miss the camp everytime I pass the Cathedral. I personally am boycotting events held at the Cathedral which is becoming quite a venue for music promoters etc – not prepared to contribute one penny towards that institution.

I took a photo of the cathedral forecourt on the 29th of Jun which can be seen here - http://artbyandyonline.com/cathedral.jpg

for folk that can't see it, it shows a picture of the cathedral forecourt, empty of any construction work , with a table tennis table and a guy playing the game

there is a caption on the photo which says:

Nice to see that the cathedral is under way with the refurb that it wanted to start construction work for but was afraid that Occupy Sheffield would get in the way of.... Oh, wait a sec’... that’s not construction work... that’s someone playing table tennis... oh?.... erm .... :/

Wasn’t it suppossed to start some time in May??? It doesn’t mean that a date was given just to get rid of the camp??? That 14 people were named in court to pay a possible fine of £100,000 because the refurb was so important that it had to be started by this date and there was a chance losses would be incurred because of the camp???

Hmm.

-------------------------------------------------

Where did the £100,000 figure come from? - Paragraph 45 of Dean Peter Bradley's statement quotes £65k in lost revenue, £25k legal fees and £6k 'associated costs'.

Not wanting to stir things up , just that it made me so angry and totally despairing of how the cathedral has acted towards Occupy, talk about a wasted opportunity on their behalf

Also this morning Giles Fraser, he who resigned from St Pauls, was on this morning's Sunday Programme talking about the recent banking fiasco and was asked the question "Does the current banking scandals prove that Occupy was right??"
His interview starts at 39minutes in

Hope everyone is keeping well and good
