<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>Ironic that they are actually quoting my references as before my research they said house was built by Roebuck in 1790. I think there probably are more records in their attic but they have never been catalogued. I will raise concerns about these records again with Archivist especially as they say they are moving out this makes it a priority as makes records at risk. Re deeds for the House before the purchase of House and Park there are none. I can say that categorically as I have sat in Council's legal office and gone through all their documentation. I will look at the St. George's Guild records that are in the Sheffield Archives as well as the council committee records for the period 1887-1890 and see if any indication about restrictive covenant. I think I have seen a guidebook to the museum in Local Studies. Ruskin in Sheffield says there are several relevant books within Local studies library.
