Hi Everyone,

I've got exciting
news. Community Weaving reached a milestone and we wanted to share the
good news. We are able to publish a Village Resource Directory with a
push of a button in our reporting capabilities on the FSN website. The Village
Resource Directory is generated based on a Group ID or geographical location
(City, County, Zip, State) with the new FSN technology developed by Max
Stalnaker, our VolunteerMatch volunteer. What this means is we can build and
bridge social capital and map assets of Good Neighbors (volunteers) in schools,
churches, businesses, organizations, agencies, neighborhoods...you name it -
individually or collectively and tally the results! It's taken 13 years to get
here and on 06/06/06 we finally did it! This takes asset-mapping to a whole new
level! I can hardly wait to show you.

Community Weaving was presented to
a group of corporate execs and social entrepreneurs in Detroit two weeks
ago. They recognized the various applications of this new directory. What
emerged from this gathering is extraordinary. We welcome you to take a
tour. Just email me and one of our Master Weavers in your region will
contact you and show you how simple it is to pool and map assets
and engage citizens in ways that create thriving communities.

Our time has come! Share the good news with others and encourage
them to explore the www.familynetwork.org website.
Invite them to register as a Good Neighbor. It's free and there is no
obligation, just opportunities for connecting to a grassroots community that
cares and shares resources to create a more caring, just and civil society.

Take a moment to check out the list of upcoming Community Weaving
trainings listed on the www.familynetwork.org website. You
can either attend a training or host a Community Weaving certification
training in your community. We have a CW training in Seattle June
28-30th. I've attached a flyer for you to pass along to your friends and
colleagues.

This is a large step and there is a lot more in store. Let me
know if you'd like to receive a sample Village Resource Directory.
