attention to 'social and ethical issues' continues both among
technology<BR>managers and academics, an important question emerges: what counts
as a<BR>social and ethical issue? Is it privacy and security? Or, is it
fairness,<BR>equality and justice in access to technology? Is it responsible
corporate<BR>governance? Or, is it the challenge of establishing solidarity with
others?<BR>Softwars 2006 will provide a forum for discussion on social and
ethical<BR>challenges related to technology use.<BR><BR><BR>Submissions may be
in the form of full papers (about 5000 words) or position<BR>papers for round
table discussion (about 1000 words). Submission details and<BR>call for papers
