Research Analyst

Democracy and Civil Society Programme

Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience 

Based at the Trust's office in London SE1

Fixed-term post for up to two years

The Carnegie UK Trust wishes to appoint a full-time Research Analyst to support the work of the Trust's new Democracy and Civil Society programme. The focus of the post will be the Trust's Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland. The work of the Inquiry will be informed by a Commission chaired by Geoff Mulgan. 

Reporting to the Director of the Democracy and Civil Society Programme, this is an exciting new post supporting a high profile project. The post will involve undertaking and analysing research to explore the existing nature and state of civil society and possible future threats and opportunities. The Research Analyst will also write reports to disseminate findings to diverse stakeholders.  

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and will have a proven track record of undertaking secondary and primary research, using diverse research methodologies, for the purpose of influencing policy and practice. You will have excellent analytical, writing, communication and listening skills, good facilitation skills and a keen interest in strengthening civil society. The post involves travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
