Hello Hexagon

I am contacting you from CASH - Community Assets for Society and Housing.
We are a CLT and CBS based in SE14, set up by a group of people living in housing co-ops and we are working to create more housing co-ops.

We are reaching out to our fellow Lewisham Borough Co-ops to make connections. Our Outreach and Engagement team are visiting co-ops to talk about the work we are doing and to see how we can support each other. Please could you forward this email to the co-ops you work with.

In the mean time, we are co-hosting with Sanford Co-op an event on 3rd February 2024 that will have creative and co-op knowledge workshops in the afternoon and music and dance in to the night. Our first call-out is to find people who live in co-ops who might like to be involved. We will send the invite to attend later on. If you think any of your members might be interested in this, please do share the email contect below!

Hello!

You’re invited to our New Year New Co-ops event on Saturday 3rd February at Matchstick Piehouse in Deptford, SE London. This is a collaborative event hosted by CASH and Sanford Housing Co-op, and is a fundraising event for CASH.

The event will run through the afternoon and evening, and will be made up of presentations, workshops, creative activities, film screenings and an afterparty.

We’d love to collaborate with other co-ops for this event, and are looking for people to help facilitate workshops, and to DJ during the afterparty. Be part of sharing information about co-ops, raising awareness and making a difference in the midst of a housing crisis.

Workshops are listed below and we can offer payment of £60 to DJs.

Workshops:
1. Governance and Legal Structure (including co-op models)
2. Outreach and Inclusivity
3. Finances
4. Development and Site Search (inc co-op models)
