Hi Esra, thanks for getting in contact. It would be great to have you on the call. 

 

The purpose of the call is to learn, from the perspective housing of co-operatives, what the GLA could do to help increase the number of homes in co-operative ownership. CLTs could play a big role in this support, so I it would be good to have with us. If you could send my any info/website for your CLT ahead of tomorrow, that would be fab.

 

At the start of the call, I will also explain what support is currently available for co-operative housing, so hopefully you will find this helpful.  Looking forward to speaking.

 

Away from my role at GLA, I am setting up a co-operative in South East London, so it will be nice to hear what you have to say from that perspective, too! 

 

@Dominic please could you send Esra a calendar invite for the call?

My name is Esra Abd Elrahman, I am a Senior Engagement officer on the planning team at Ealing Council and I am also on the board of a CLT based in South East London. Our CLT is working towards building more co-operative housing in South East London. I am contacting you regarding the GLA Roundtable that’s scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19th at 10 am on the topic of co-operative housing. I was sent the invite letter from a co-operative that was invited to the event, and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to also attend? I think this will be a very beneficial talk for my CLT to understand the support available for co-operative housing from the GLA.
