[Bins] perl 5.8.0 wonkiness reprise - solution

I recently upgrade to Red Hat 9, and re-encounted the problem
noted previously on this list with perl 5.8.0 having an assertion
failure when trying to run bins:

  Assertion flags == 0 failed: file "Storable.xs", line 2336 at 
/usr/local/bin/bins line 4179.

For anyone else with this problem, this is just to note a solution:
I found that Storable-2.08 from CPAN (dated 05 Sep 2003) has a
ChangeLog entry that looked relevant, and downloading and installing
Storable-2.08 fixed the problem for me.
